Private bathroom is fitted with both a bath and a shower and free toiletries are provided. Extras include a dishwasher and a washing machine. We loved that we had an ample amount of space. The chalet was clean and comfortable and perfect for our family of three. We also loved the washer and dryer and how close it was to various restaurants and shops in Echoland. More importantly, through messaging within the booking app the staff at the hotel went above and beyond for us. They were exceptionally communicative in assisting us after my husband left a bag on the Shinkansen from Tokyo. They also provided a free shuttle ride to and from the bus stop which was great. The drivers were so nice

Great host. Large self catering kitchen & lounge. Winter ski lodge but operates in summer also. Highly recommended.
The building has a beautiful architecture, with split level design and backing onto a small river side garden with sauna. The garden was perfect for morning coffees and exercise, or a sunset beer. The family were incredibly hospitable and kindly gave us lifts to trailhead and helped us plan journey to and from via public transport. The hot tub was great to relax in.
We arrived and were lucky enough to get upgraded to a cabin lodge for part of our stay. Nao and the team were fantastic from start to finish. We were provided the most DELICIOUS 3 course breakfast every morning. Nao even lent my partner and I goggles for the snow which we forgot to hire. Nao made recommendations for the mountains/snow conditions each day and dinner recommendations. Upon check out we were dropped off to the bus station as well. We will definitely be back when we next come to Japan. Thank you Nao for an unforgettable stay!!
Toshi was an amazing host, the cabins were cosy and spacious, such an amazing spot.
Lovely host on arrival, the mountains were great for more experienced skiers. My children struggled as beginners, but this is perhaps because the resort was very icey at our time of visiting. Cosy cabin, our kids loved it!
Private, very cosy, was close enough yo everything wether walking or short bus/taxi.. the owners are absolutely amazing. Even a private onsen/bath you can book! They were so generous, hard working, happy to help getting us places or picking us up.. the cottage was perfect. Would stay again for sure!
The hotel is cosy, rooms are charming and having the toilet there was very convenient. The location is good, not too far from the center of the village. We had a car and there was a parking lot across the street from the hotel. The hosts are kind and helpful, they changed my room when I requested because the first one was on the street side and we could hear the cars. The bathroom is shared, japanese style with onsen, and it was warm and clean. Both times I went, it was empty so just me. Very good value for money!
We had a lovely stay at Bells Cabin. The owner couple is really sweet and caring and fetched us from the train station as we were stranded in a mile long taxi queue due to snow and ice disabling the trains and busses no longer running in the late evening. Thank you so much! The breakfast was delicious and a very fair price. The common room were you can hang out and eat had a lit fireplace giving a very warm and cozy atmosphere. It smelled like Christmas morning as a child. We will definitely comeback when we are visiting Karuizawa.
