Everything, every little detail, was just fascinating. The rooms are set in an amazingly beautiful garden, and are very well equipped & super comfortable. Treat yourself to local dinner - so far our best meal in Sri Lanka (and we had many very good dinners before!), don't miss it. As for the hosts - everyone was super friendly and welcoming, we were served delicious tea upon arrival and Leel spoke very good English. As for the safari - we can't imagine a better guide taking care of us. Leel knew the park very well (showed us beautiful places off the beaten path), you could see he cared very much for the wellbeing of present animals and was very knowledgeable about them. Overall, he's a guy that would save you even from a charging elephant.

Amazing place, the hosts were extremely welcoming and helped us with everything from making sure how to get there, to organizing for us a safari, to bringing us cash when we forgot it in the room for the elephant sanctuary, to preparing tasty meals for us. The cottage was very charming and the garden is like a paradise. We couldn't believe we got so much for the price we paid, 10/10

We arrived in the evening at this corner of paradise. We had a huge room, and there were only two of us. Even though they asked us if we wanted dinner during the afternoon, and we said no, when we arrived, we asked if we could eat, and they served us a wonderful dinner. The food was plentiful and truly excellent. The place is truly beautiful, surrounded by nature. The family who hosted us was very helpful. If we were to return to this area, we would definitely stay here again.

It was my best stay in Sri Lanka! Best location, best food, best staff, clean and beautiful room! They kindly found a safari for me who was alone with discounts. I had no problem during my stay there.
