I’ve been in Sri Lanka for 4 weeks and stayed at more than a dozen places. This one I will never forget. When I first saw the ad, I thought it looked too good to be true. But since there was a special price for the opening, I thought I’d give it a try. I could not be happier with the choice. I've had an unforgettable experience. This place is absolutely fantastic! To help future guests, I will try to provide as much detail as I can in BOTH columns: The cottage only opened in February 2024, so everything is brand new. Unlike in other places, you actually get what you see in the pictures. Everything about this place is very well thought-through and built in a way such as to allow for a most pleasant stay: The cottage is located very quietly in the middle of nature but still close enough to town (5 min by tuktuk). It has an outdoor terrace with two regular and one swing chair offering a lovely view over the garden. The bedroom is beautifully designed and very spacious. The wardrobe and dresser offer plenty of space to store luggage openly and easily accessible. The beds are very comfortable and the mattrasses have standard European/US length (I mention this because sometimes in Sri Lanka, the mattrasses are shorter so that your feet stick out at the end). The A/C is very powerful and there are no smells (which sometimes happens with older models). It cools down the entire room very evenly. There are multiple electrical outlets which all types of sockets (even USB slots). There are light switches for every single lamp which allows you to set the lighting in just the way you prefer. Worth mentioning here too is the warm temperature of the light. The WiFi is reliable and sufficiently strong for browsing, streaming, and video calls.

The Location, The Hospitality, The Design of the Cottages, The Food : we spent 1 day here and really wanted to cancel our further plans and stay back If it wasn’t fully booked the next days! The host is an amazing and friendly man who even helped us carry our luggage to the room. He was very accommodating and helpful. The entire property, but the rooms specifically, are immaculate. Spotless, everything is new and very well looked after. Cannot say enough good things about our stay, I just wish it was longer

Hasthi Safari Cottage situa-se em Udawalawe, a 16 km de Parque Nacional de Udawalawe, e dispõe de acomodações com um jardim, estacionamento privado gratuito, um terraço e um restaurante. We had a brilliant stay at Hasthi cottage. The cottage was very spacious, clean and had a lovely outdoor bathroom and tub. Outside of the cottage was a lovely outdoor area. The cottage was near to the main road where there were some restaurants and shops. We were picked up from Mirissa and dropped off at Ella which was organised by Dasun and was a good price. In the morning we had a delicious Sri Lankan breakfast which was very filling. A laundry service is offered which we used and our clothes were returned the very next day. We went to the national park for the safari which was an amazing day. We were provided with a delicious breakfast and lunch. Our tour guide Pereira was super friendly and awnsered all our questions. He made sure we had time to watch the animals and helped us to take some incredible photos. Overall an amazing stay and would highly recommend.

Jungle Edge Cottage encontra-se em Udawalawe e tem um jardim, terraço, restaurante e acesso Wi-Fi gratuito em toda a propriedade. It was my best stay in Sri Lanka! Best location, best food, best staff, clean and beautiful room! They kindly found a safari for me who was alone with discounts. I had no problem during my stay there.

White House Safari Cottage situa-se em Udawalawe, a 16 km de Parque Nacional de Udawalawe, e dispõe de acomodações com uma piscina exterior, estacionamento privado gratuito, um jardim e um terraço. The staffs were amazing, friendly and very helpful from the moment we arrived to our departure. The chef was incredible, creating so many delicious dishes for all the guest each day. We highly recommend staying in and enjoying a meal cooked by this well trained chief. The food is very affordable and the staff were kind enough to set up a table next to swimming pool. The rooms are comfortable and I highly appreciated the mosquito net bed.
