We had an incredible stay at Leel’s cottage. From the moment we arrived, Leel and his family gave us a warm welcome, personally guiding us to the beautiful rooms. Everything about our experience, from the cozy accommodations to the thrilling safari, exceeded our expectations. Leel’s extensive knowledge of the local wildlife and plants added a fascinating depth to our adventure. I wholeheartedly recommend staying at Leel’s—it was undoubtedly the highlight of our trip!

Anju, his brother and mom were amazing. The mom cooked delicious dinner for us, with a birthday cake and gift for my partner. The rooms big and clean,nice bathroom. Nice veranda, nice gardens. Loads of mosquitoes- but that’s Sri Lanka. There is a net over the bed if you want. Had trouble with the hot water which was fixed right away. For us the mattress was very hard and in the room there isn’t a chair. We did the safari which was amazing - so worth it! Breakfast was simple with egg toast, some Sri Lanken food, fruit tea and coffee Thanks Anju and dear family - we’ll be back for sure.

Jeep driver is very experience and very friendly. Swimming pool area is very relaxing. Love it. Room was very big and comfortable.

The place is relaxing and very homey feels like. The owner of the place is a couple and have done fantastic accommodation and services. The room was tidy, especially the bathroom. They serve delicious food for breakfast. Our whole 2 nights stay was well spent. Many thanks to Amila and family for treating us not just like guests but more of a family. 🥰

We booked a safari with them and everything was just perfect! The owner and the staff are amazing, super friendly and kind. Definitely recommended!

They keep the shared facilities very clean and the beds were comfortable. Hot water was a plus and the WiFi worked well. arranged a next day early morning Safari as well. Don’t forget to have their scrumptious breakfast.all worked perfectly.

If you are debating about where to stay near Udawalawe, no doubt, book here. They are recently opened so limited reviews but it’s a charming safari bungalow, the only one on the property, with a beautiful garden and thoughtful dining area for guests. Speaking of dining, this will be the best, most prolific food you’ve had in Sri Lanka. They really thoughtfully accommodated my vegetarian and gluten free diet with ease. There is a lovely river near the property you can explore and enjoy reading and relaxing between safari journeys and be well taken care of. They coordinated our safari, which was incredible! So many up close elephant encounters!, and helped us with transportation to them and away, making the whole experience care free and enjoyable. If you can enjoy a rustic safari cabin experience (well, not so rustic because there is a/c 😆) while being cared for by the sweetest family then look no further and enjoy Green Paradise.

It was my best stay in Sri Lanka! Best location, best food, best staff, clean and beautiful room! They kindly found a safari for me who was alone with discounts. I had no problem during my stay there.

Everything was great herę, location just at the river where you can swim and relax, very nice and clean bungalow, super friendly host and amazing cooking classes. We loved our stary there, our kids were very sad that we arę leaving.
