Renate and her husband are great hosts and it was super easy to communicate with them. The house is really good. It appears to have been refurbished (as least parts of it) but it is still a cosy traditional norwegian cottage by the mountains. The view from the house is incredible with the fjords. And if you're looking for a place to spot northern lights, this is the place to be. As it is outside of town (~25min by car), there are not many lights in the surrounding, so we could literally see the northern lights from the windows, from the balcony, and if you want a spot that is 100% dark, its just walking west for five minutes. I strongly recommend this place!

The house was beautifully appointed and the rural location was perfect. It was quite and restful which was what we were looking for. The kitchen is the best most complete and modern kitchen I have ever been in with every device and appliance imaginable. My friends all raved about how this adventure exceeded their expectations. Even the weather cooperated.

Hosts were super helpful and always on hand if needed. Had some amazing views and everything you need. Even got lucky enough to see some northern lights one evening outside the lodge. Would recommend hiring a car if staying here. Will definitely stay here again when I come back to Tromsø
