We stayed in a lovely chalet that had everything we needed. Cozy, clean, with all the essentials (hot water, towels, tea, drinking water) — it was clear that everything was prepared for us with care. And of course, the view of the valley and mountains was breathtaking, with the city lights sparkling below at night. You can enjoy tea while sitting in comfortable chairs looking at the mountains, or go for a walk in the company of cheerful dogs. A special thank you for the wonderful food - delicious momos and kombucha, breakfast with homemade bread, jam and strong coffee - simply perfect. The place itself feels like a whole community. There is even a school here where children, including girls, are taught for free an amazing and very important mission. Kundun’s family are kind and genuine people, and you can feel it from the very first meeting. Wishing you prosperity and all the best, thank you for everything!

The rooms are nice and cozy, with some local decor that gives them a more personal touch. The view is definitely the best part. Waking up to see the Kathmandu Valley and the mountains in the distance is something else. They've got this nice garden where you can chill with your morning coffee or just take a walk and relax. The food there was great, too. It’s a mix of local dishes and some international stuff, all made with fresh ingredients. Eating there feels like having a meal with family, but with an awesome view. If you’re into hiking or just want to explore the area, the cottage is in a great spot. The staff can point you in the right direction for some cool walks in the national park. Overall, Shivapuri Heights Cottage is a great place if you’re looking for a laid-back spot with nice views and good vibes. It’s like staying at a friend’s place who happens to have an amazing house in the mountains.
