The view from the bed room and living room is really special! I was a bit ditzy about some of the information and the owners were super responsive and patient. It’s so unspoilt. There is a lovely beech in walking distance which was empty most of my stay. I could walk for about an hour without seeing anyone but locals, who were super friendly. The views are unbelievable! The range of bird life and wildlife is delightful, from bunnies, pheasants to green and red parrots flying in a pair. Their list of recommendations are spot on, from great places to eat to the best beaches to visit. A peaceful haven! There was a sauna but I just chilled and soaked up the views!

Rooms are light and bright, and the bathroom is fairly new and immaculately clean (as is the whole cottage). There is a heatpump for cooler days and good airflow with open wndows for hotter days. The cottage has a good deck for evening use during summer stays and a garden area in the front which is surprisingly private. The road itself is quiet and the whole experience is restful. The road is close to AT bus routes, so getting around without a car is pretty straightforward - it is a short run from the ferry terminal on the main bus route, for example. Decent sized fridge/freezer and a microwave in the kitchen. No oven but there is a portable double element unit in the cupboard for cooking with.

So handy for all the wineries and activities around Onetangi Beach and Valley, and just a short drive or bus ride to everything else.
