The owner and her son were incredibly kind and always willing to help with anything we needed. We were even invited to a small family gathering over the weekend, and everyone was so warm and friendly! It was such a lovely way to experience real Portuguese hospitality on our first visit to Portugal. The hotel is located a bit outside the town center, so having a car is convenient for getting around. That said, we managed perfectly well using the bus (there’s a stop right in front of the house) and returning by taxi without any issues. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Terceira who is looking for peace, nature, and a quiet retreat.

Boasting free bikes and views of garden, Quinta do Espírito Santo is a country house set in a historic building in Angra do Heroísmo, 2.9 km from Negrito Beach. There is a private entrance at the country house for the convenience of those who stay. The accommodation offers airport transfers, while a car rental service is also available. The place is incredible. The apartment is located in a refurbish farm of the Quinta, surrounded by a beautiful garden full of flowers. But the best part is for sure Francisco and Lucília. They love to share their knowledge and time having breakfast together, answering all the questions you might have. Francisco is a historian/anthropologist/archeologist, therefore the answers will be on multiple levels and incredibly interesting! Home-made jams and cakes of Lucília are absolutely delicious! Not to mention, that they host the most sweet and cuddling cats ❤️

Although it’s not a 5-star hotel, it is an incredibly cozy, clean, and authentic house with a beautiful flower garden.
