Van der Valk Hotel Gent is a stone's throw from the city centre, close to both the E17 and E40 motorways. The bedroom with the bathtub and breakfast were great.

There is a bar within the hotel open until 11pm, however, we did not utilize it, but it is a plus! The room was spotless; they even provided slippers and a water bottle.

The food in the Brasserie 830 is very tasty, but make sure you have a reservation as it gets very busy towards the evening. Very comfortable bed. Easy parking on site.
