We just arrived at Quito before our flight to Galapagos and are staying at the gorgeous Casa El Eden. Just dropping by here to gush about what an amazing place this is, and to recommend this place if you are planning your Galapagos trip and have a stop in Quito. 😊 Both my partner and I travel tons and we both agreed this is possibly the most charming and best place we’ve stayed in. We are so in love with this place. 😍 Location is great and super central, we’ve been able to walk to most places we want to. It also feels safe in this area. Every corner feels very homely, thoughtfully and classily designed and extremely clean. (To the point where I’m walking around the hotel barefooted 😄) The owners Mario and Blanca are also the most thoughtful, kind and generous hosts we’ve ever had, and we really can’t stop singing praises about them. And did I mention that they have a roof top terrace with a great view? 😍

The views, the natural setting, the animals in the backyard, the very friendly staff and owner, secure parking, and pool. Can highly recommend a stay in this unique place.

Dinner and breakfast are included, you can eat at your appetite and the food is great. They offer a lot of activities in the hotel for great prices, massages, hot tubes, yoga and more. Amazing place to relax and enjoy the view and clam

Breakfast was amazing, as were the drinks I had and an evening meal. It was very private and secluded, with well-thought-out spaces, rooms, and private balconies. The owners were kind and very hospitable

The hostess n food were wonderful. It was a wonderful transit break. So peaceful n relaxed. Even the dogs were welcoming.. She booked a cab for me to go to Quito airport n the driver was wonderful. They were great examples of hospitable Ecuador ❤️

This is the most unique place we have ever stayed. This 250 year old hosteria/ hotel is an incredible experience. We had a room in the oldest part of the hotel. The ambiance and detailing was superb. Our room had a seperate seating area with open fire , but alas it wasn’t cold enough to light but there is also in-wall heating and the room was super cozy. The bed sooo comfortable like sleeping on a cloud. Even though its close to a main road once inside you would never know- it is totally quiet. We slept so well. The whole hotel is full of the owners antique art and collectables. Its like a living Museum. You can take a tour with a staff member to hear about the history and impressive collection. The restaurant food was very high standard. We particularly enjoyed the breakfast buffet. We enjoyed an spa treatment and 2 hours in the wet spa area. The spa is absolute magical wonderland. There is a courtyard with friendly rabbits and peacocks. A beautiful touch! The staff were excellent in all regards. We loved our stay!
