Hotels in the Philippines

Breakfast was excellent and served in the room if you wanted (or the pool on a floater!). Dinner on the roof of the restaurant was stunning. Nothing (and I mean nothing) was too much trouble for any of the staff, everything done with a smile!

The place is nice, beautiful and relaxing. And the food is good.

Casa Basa was wonderful! All staff are some welcoming, kind, and friendly. I rented a motorbike to use during my stay, and Mich kindly gave me a quick tutorial on how to use it. The property is a 5-10 minute ride from the main General Luna area, but I preferred this; it was so peaceful and quiet at the accommodation. They were also working to make the Starlink internet even better during my stay—this made it easier for me to get some work done. There were occasional power outages due to the island-wide power issues, but Casa Basa has a backup generator, so things were restored quickly. Breakfasts and smoothies were delicious, and the adorable dogs were also a big plus for me. It was a wonderful stay and I would love to visit again the next time I come to Siargao! Thanks to the whole team!

I would say that this is definitely the best hotel in the Philippines. And this hotel is the most satisfying one in my 14 day journey in El Nido. The location of the hotel is great. 2mins drive from the airport to hotel and 1min walk from hotel to Lio beach, which is where I like to go for sunset run. They have hotel transportation to town as well. The hotel room was soooo AMAZING, high ceiling with remote curtains is my favorite thing that really blew my mind in a third-world country especially in an island like El Nido. The room is equipped with a small kitchen with cooking facilities for perfect for my midnight snacks. A kettle, refrigerator, and capsule coffee machine. There are wine glass, artsy plates and coffee cups. The bathroom has separate toilet and shower, by the way it’s also remote controlled TOILET with heated seats. I like all the details they provide in the room and hotel services. I like being close with nature, the hotel is located in the forest, surrounded with big old trees and palm trees..I was lucky to see a Palawan hornbill just passing by right in front of my big french window. Sometimes, I see monkeys and squirrels jumping around playing, and maybe some people wouldn’t like that. But to me, it brings different cozy feelings. The room is really QUIET and it makes me feel so safe. I’m such a light sleeper. But I was able to adjust my jet lag and have quality sleep on all the nights. I’m so appreciative to all the staff in the hotel, they are so welcoming, their suggestions of the travel tips are so great and they made me really felt like home. Thank you Piece Lio. great place we can walk the street with lots thins you can see,near in the city there is a restaurant it is very easy we are comfortable for the place.

Amazing service, immaculately appointed rooms and facilities, attentive but not overbearing staff, perhaps the best hotel I've ever stayed at. Great art photography in room and around the hotel. Excellent huge gym well beyond ANY hotel gym I've been to in this price range. Strong wifi everywhere. Sauna which looked like a proper Finnish sauna, though didn't try. Big pool area. Nice looking spa, but didn't go. Everywhere was very clean. Big casino downstairs and a high-end shopping mall in the same complex with tons of excellent restaurants - I recommend Yeon Hwa for Korean barbecue where you don't have to cook yourself unless you insist - and a very cozy cinema with excellent seating. All major high fashion brands, though disappointingly poor watch selection. SM Seaview mall within 10-minute ride for more shopping, restaurants and cinema. You can pretty much spend a few days at or near the hotel and have everything you need.

Proximity to center, views of Mt Mayon, EXCELLENT restaurant.
