Known as ‘La Perla del Sur’ (Pearl of the South) and the ‘Capital de Carnaval’, Encarnación is one of Paraguay’s biggest draws. The country’s biggest Carnaval celebration takes place here in January and February, and the nearby Jesuit missions of Trinidad and Jesús can be found just under 30 km away.
The northwest of Paraguay is home to the wild plains of Gran Chaco, divided into the palm savannas of the Humid Chaco and the spiky forest of the Dry Chaco. It’s a superb place to spot wildlife, such as jaguars, howler monkeys and birds of prey.

Beautoful green parc close to Hohenau centre. Spacious and very clean room with good beds and shower. Nice staff. Walk around among green fields and some animals like cows and tapirs and birds (behind fences). Big swimmingpool. (We had rain in october and did not swim).

Great boutique hotel. Very nice interiors, everything is very classy. The staff is wonderful. First time arriving and it feels like home. Delicious restaurant, quite well equipped fitness, large and very nice rooms, great location between the old town and the new town where the shopping malls are.

My debit card was not working, but the staff were so nice and kind and helped me solve the problem. I'd like to thank for the assistance. All the staff were really very kind.
The milk caramel (dulce de leche) they serve on the breakfast was the the most delicious I've ever had in my life.
The hotel is so amazing I need to get back to Asunción to stay there.
