Amazing breakfasts, served in poolside dining toom overlooking the garden.. extended,access to coffee,and tea. Access to a wide-screen TV for sports viewing if wanted (we didn't) Staff happy to arrange activities, taxis, and advise about alternative dinner options when their kitchen closed for the evening to allow their staff to celebrate Christmas evening with their families. We will happily return.

Located within an 2 km of the Victoria Falls, Ilala Lodge Hotel is a family-run hotel set in expansive gardens. Location is excellent, within easy walking distance of the national park entrance and the Lookout Cafe, which is outside the park and which does not require payment of the daily park fee. The hotel’s grounds are beautiful, with trees flowering in late October. The pool is small, but good for a cooling dip in hot weather. Cape buffalo were grazing right outside our room in the middle of the night.

I believe they also provide room service, but we always ate at the restaurant.

The lodge and rooms are beautifully done and clean, and the staff were so kind and helpful. I would definitely recommend.
