Staff were excellent and helpful. It was a great place to stay. We booked a very small room but on arrival I think the staff realised and gave us a free upgrade to make it more comfortable. It was very kind gesture.

In Ilhabela, Real Villa Bella is set in a tropical garden with a scenic swimming pool besides a waterfall with natural rocks. Its beautiful rooms have satellite TV and free Wi-Fi.

Wasn't sure what to expect, but nice little place in Ilhabela. About 15 min drive from the port and easy to get a taxi. Franco who works there was really great, always happy to help and shared lots of info and communicated on WhatsApp prior to stay which helped in planning. Michael who is the owner was also cool to talk to over a few drinks at the bar. Rooms are good size, clean, with comfy beds. Breakfast also was pretty decent.

Ideally located just 600 metres from the beach, Hotel Alemão Beach de Ilhabela features an outdoor swimming pool and a terrace fitted with sun loungers.

The location is great. 10 minutes walking from Curral Beach, my favourite on the island. The environment of the Hotel is very pleasant.

Fabio (the owner) and the reception team are warm and friendly, speak good English (which helped a lot as we don't speak Portuguese) and looked after us very well during our stay - nothing was too much trouble for them. They helped us with catching buses, booking hire cars and trips, and great suggestions of places to visit on the island, where to eat and how to make authentic Caipirinha cocktails! Fabio lives at the Pousada and was always around if we needed anything. Also, the reception is staffed 24 hours a day. The Pousada (which we learned means 'inn' or 'guest house') is situated five minutes walk away from the port and is well located for easy access to the north and south of the island. Vila (the main town on the Island) is twenty minutes by bus. Our rooms all had air conditioning, a fridge, a smart TV, plenty of storage for clothes and a great shower. Wifi is free and there was good service in all of the rooms as well as around the pool and reception. Our rooms were cleaned and our towels were changed every day. We all had a fantastic stay. My daughter particularly loved Fabio's pet tortoises (who have a pen in the garden) as well as Woody and Buzz the cats.
