Villa Katharina is a very special hotel, outside the center, in a quite hilly area, which we liked. Good exercise. Glad we stayed two nights to get used. Room is well equipped and luxury. Breakfast is special, as each guest can specify how to get the hot food. Bamberg is also special with two canals surrounding the old town.

This family-run hotel is located in the heart of Bamberg's old quarter, just a 6-minute walk from the world-famous cathedral and an 11-minute walk from the historic Michaelsberg monastery.

The service was excellent! Very flexible. For example, we had to leave early in the morning, and they immediately agreed to serve breakfast one hour earlier. My brother celebrated a birthday the day after, and they offered to create a special experience with a tiny addition to the price. We got a decorated table, a bottle of Prosecco and a package full of chocolates.

I love the small town feel with this beautiful 1800s building. The outside looks very antique, and the insides are not too modern but not old looking. Right in the middle. The room I had was beautiful. Had perfect sunlight from 2 large windows. A large bed. A TV with English audio. Free coffee and water. The bed was very comfortable and had more than enough blankets and pillows. Important to note that the room came with a fan which i don't *need* but really improves my sleep quality. One of the best hotel locations I've had. Staff was super friendly. It was very easy to get in and out of the building. 20 stars if I could.

The location was excellent, a few 100 yards from the Altstadt . Parking at the hotel was underground and secure €18 so very good value . There was a fantastic choice for breakfast. Definitely recommended for an overnight stay
