It satisfied our needs, a quick one night sleep as a stopover on the road. The staff is nice. The room is bigger than expected. It is basic and clean. We had a good rest! The shower is with very good hot water and could have big water pressure. The cafeteria next to the lobby provides a microwave and some cutlery, easy for people to heat up some light food. And it is so kind of them to offer free coffee corner for 24 hours. And right outside the hotel there are a lot of free public parking spaces.

L’Escala Resort offers modern apartments set in landscaped gardens, which feature sun beds and 7 small outdoor pools. Each air-conditioned apartment has a flat-screen TV and a private terrace.

Lovely hotel that blended into the environment. Very peaceful. Our room was upgraded to one with a sea view Very efficient and pleasant staff. Great breakfast We were given a lot of useful information about the town on arrival that saved us a lot of time trying to find out on our own We had been told,when we tried to reserve on our own ,that the Dali house was fully booked on the day we arrived but amazingly the hotel receptionist called and found us space that same afternoon. We are looking forward to going back.

Not very often a hotel makes me feel this good. Positive things: 1. Location: close to the main parking in Cadaques and close to the beaches. Quiet area 2. Parking pick up: you can ask the hotel to pick you up/drop you at the parking with their golf cart for free 3. Friendly staff: the hotel is run by a family and every single person I met at the reception was very nice, attentive and efficient. 4. Rooms: they are spacious, very clean, comfortable and have good views of the village while keeping privacy. We stayed in room 2.1 Tramuntana which was very nice 5. Complimentary water, yogurt and fruit 6. Amenities: in general the hotel looks very new and well taken care off. Design is sleek and modern. As far as I am aware the hotel doesn’t have gym/sauna/pool but it is totally understandable as it is a boutique hotel in a tiny village

Staff were very friendly and helpful. A very grown up experience, the peaceful garden and pool area. The car park was a plus in a busy town.

Fantastic family hotel and excellent location for the beach and restaurants .

Hotel Carmen is set less than 100 metres from the beach, in the Costa Brava town of Roses. This small design hotel offers charming, bright rooms with flat-screen satellite TV and a private bathroom.

Excellent location, one street back from a large, sandy beach with restaurants only two minutes walk away. Despite central location, no night-time noise & hotel policy good idea, which is no rooms cleaned after 1pm, so able to rest up in the afternoon if need be as not disturbed. Also brilliant idea - free 24/7 drinking water & coffee available in the breakfast room. We were given two bottles of water when we arrived & able to top these up everyday to use when away from the hotel. Secure hotel parking used for a daily fee nearby in the next street, a little tight with the bays & caution needed when exiting up a ramp then onto the street. Able to drop cases when we pulled up at the hotel, narrow, but then got adequate instructions for the car park from reception. The breakfast staff are first class, smiling/cheerful with fresh eggs/bacon cooked to order with fresh coffee. Reception staff too very helpful & who acknowledged us with a greeting every time we went past the desk, which was nice.
