truly enjoyed my stay at The Scott. The property is beautifully designed in an elegant Scottish style that makes you feel like you’re staying in a small castle — a perfect blend of charm and understated luxury. The staff were exceptionally polite and attentive, always ready to help with any questions or requests. Although the room was not very large, it was thoughtfully furnished, cozy, and had everything we needed. I particularly appreciated the small touches — like the daily treats, cookies, and coffee provided in the room. These little details made the whole experience feel extra special and warm. I would also like to highlight the breakfast — the atmosphere was simply wonderful. The dining room was stunning, the service excellent, and the food both delicious and beautifully presented. There was a nice selection to choose from, and it truly felt like a luxurious start to the day — the perfect way to begin exploring Edinburgh.

The staff was absolutely outstanding. We were early to our check-in and the front desk took our bags. When the room was ready, our bags were already there. I just thought that was the nicest touch. The breakfast was so well priced for such quality and quantity. Everyone was so attentive and answered all of our random travel questions. I loved how close it was to Old Town with the hustle and bustle, but when we were ready to come back to a quieter part of the city, this place was just the perfect place to get comfy in the lounge for a snack and a dram. Truly, would not book anywhere else in Edinburgh!

Such a welcoming place the host couldn't have been more helpful or friendly an absolute star. The room was well equipped, clean and tastefully decorated with a very comfy bed., it made a great place to rest and relax after a long day. The location is a gem. 30 min walk or 20 min at a pace into the central part of Edinburgh. What makes the location great is all the quality independent cafes, shops and restaurants found just at the end of the street. We tried a few and all were exceptional, way better than the tourist traps and tack shops in the royal mile. Recommend Edinburgh Larder if you stay for breakfast. The area is such great headspace after walking the royal mile. Very cute dog too : )

We loved everything: the staff, the housekeeping, the service, the impeccable food for breakfast and dinner. The food at the hotel restaurant was better than Michelin star restaurant. We loved the decor and the specious lobby ( several of them). So many rooms to relax and enjoy a good book with a glass of wine or a good coffee. It is shown that a lot of thought and efforts were invested to make our stay perfect. They succeeded in every way. We felt like royalty.

The lush textures, the thoughtful touches, rich colors and color palettes, the coziness, quiet luxury and beauty of each room and area was just perfection.
