We had a great stay -- the hotel is rather unique in that it's actually several townhouses that are connected and then redone as rooms. Our room was delightfully decorated fitting of the boutique hotel status, with a huge bathroom and large, comfortable bed. The hotel staff were communicative and helpful, both before our stay, messaging over booking.com, at reception, and while there. We were celebrating a special occasion, and had a nice surprise welcoming us in the room, which we appreciated. We also ordered room service from the restaurant (always a nice treat at hotels that offer it) and this hit the spot -- there was good variety, the food was high quality, and the ambiance and experience quickly made us feel at home. Lastly, it was our first time in Glasgow and as travelers without a car, we weren't quite sure where to stay. This spot worked out quite well -- the area is nice, and the university area (around Byres road), with more shops and cafes and such, is just a 10 minute walk, or a shorter bus ride. The bus stop is also right outside and very convenient, and that or the train provide quick transit access through the city. Overall, this worked out very well for us -- we had comfortable accommodations, tasty food, and great service. Would recommend to others.

We had a wonderful two nights at this property as we toured Glasgow before heading to the Great Glen Way. There seemed to be others staying here using it as a base for exploring the highlands from what we could see. What made it special? First re the rooms: the interior feels plush, fresh and new. We are two friends and had a very comfortable twin room which was incredibly spacious with well appointment bathroom. There was very good temperature control in the room (very important!). Nice products as well for both coffee and in the bathroom. Second re the breakfast included in the bed and breakfast rate: excellent buffet plus fresh menu and served in their very lovely dining room Third re the general warmness: very helpful staff, lovely happy hour with complimentary wine where you can mingle in the lobby

    Very comfy bed and pillows, lovely shower, funky controls of lights/blinds etc via iPad, well designed small space. Very well insulated so no noise from outside or other rooms. Excellent breakfast, self-service buffet with great choice and quality, nice to be able to have as much or as little as you want.
