This was such a perfect hotel to stay in. The lovely little balcony with a view of the stream. The room was spacious, the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast provided was excellent. It was also very easy to visit nearby towns and access to local walks.

Great location just off the main high street, and the free parking was just a 2 minute walk away. the staff were exceptional, the breakfast was absolutely delicious and the facilities were clean, comfortable and spacious.

The Rooms at the Apple Pie was perfectly located in the centre of Ambleside, an easy walk to all of the shops. Our room was an attic room - the ceiling definitely is a bit low for someone who is tall, but it was a great size and very comfortable, we had a great sleep. There was an honesty bar system for cokes and crisps among other things, but we had both breakfast and lunch (and an apple pie) from the delicious bakery and cafe next door. Highly recommend.

I visited as part of a small wedding group. We had a fantastic time. Loved the hotel decor, music, the staff - the food was delicious! The location is beautiful.

Waterhead Inn is surrounded by the Lake District's popular walking and cycling routes. On site parking is available subject to availability.

We had an excellent room with outside balcony overlooking the lake, we enjoyed breakfast and has diner twice. Best location for our activities, sufficient parking, friendly staff. I definitely would come back here.
