Lovely boutique hotel in gorgeous location on Lake Maggiore. Loved the view of the lake from our lake-view suite. Suite was a very good value. Hotel rooms are bright, fresh, clean, and well-appointed. Comfortable beds. Air-conditioning worked great. The bathroom was large (for Europe) and very nicely done. Good lighting. Breakfast was good—all you would expect in a European continental breakfast. Eggs made any way you want upon request. Espresso drinks also made upon request. Hotel staff were gracious and helpful. Wonderful stay!

We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Ancora. The location is excellent, close to everything we needed. The room was very clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. What truly stood out was the exceptional service — the staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to help. Special thanks to Helena at the reception, who went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. Her warm attitude and attention to detail were truly appreciated. Arriving in nothing short of a monsoon - the staff were superb in getting us into the hotel with all our luggage and then taking our car to park in their garage. They happily provided us with a lovely meal in our room. Breakfast was excellent - room was lovely with a view right across the lake. Just could not have asked for a nicer stay and will hopefully return
