Absolutely 10 stars! Staff at breakfast are so kind the older ladies reminded me of my nanny’s kitchen for a meal they help you mind you so well and serve up the best fresh breakfast you could ask for fruit croissants cornflakes pancakes everything on menu and help yourself, place is maintained so so well very modern room’s impeccable cleanliness rooms serviced each morning new large luxury towels luxury slippers fridge and kettle as standard in the room beds so comfortable really good air con beautiful views ask for a lake facing room for sure!! Plenty of sockets in the room strong powerful shower and beautiful pool (not heated though) so a little chilly hotel is so peaceful had the most amazing sleep each night only literally 200m to town the ferry or the beach up the road the opposite end of town. Staff at front desk are the so helpful we met different girls each day but all so so nice to us and helpful they also run the bar service too, a tall man made me the best Hugo spritz I have tasted here if you see him get him to make you one 😄😄 place deserves 10 stars and needs to be 4 star hotel for sure!! This is a beautiful place to stay, with beautiful traditional furnishings, antiques, and the owner's artistic touches everywhere, even to the antique books and modern classics scattered in the room. I was disappointed that my Italian is so poor that I couldn't read them! The owner was so lovely and kind and spoke excellent English. She helped me with my luggage up the 2 floors of the beautiful marble and wrought iron staircase, and served me a lovely breakfast in my attic room. And also advised me where I could go locally to visit. The bed and bedding were so comfortable, the shower was great, and the air conditioning worked very well, which was a blessing as it was 30 C outside. Parking was easy, with a big shared courtyard, plus free parking spaces directly across the road. It was a perfect location for visiting Verona, and local towns like Vallegio and Villafranca. Lake Garda was just 20 minutes away, where I had a lovely cool swim. I really hope this place is available if I come this way again!. (On my last day, on my way out to Verona, I came across the wonderful Museo Nicolis in Villafranca, a fabulous collection of over 300 vintage and classic cars, with lots of famous motor racing memrabilia, plus motorbikes, the history of hundreds of cameras, typewriters, musical instruments - highly recommended.)
