They upgraded my dorm booking to a private room. Biggest gift for a backpacker :) nice and clean hostel, really nice vibe and staff and lovely showers. No noise from other rooms etc. Also really close to Kyoto station.

Staying at this hotel was a fantastic experience. The room was really big and the futons were very comfortable. I enjoyed the bath in the room and the public baths downstairs as well. I would highly recommend this hotel for what felt like a more traditional experience. The staff were amazing as well!

Toshiharu is an exceptional Ryokan located in the center of Kyoto. We have never stayed in a better accommodation, anywhere. 5 Star Quality- The staff- exceptional, the breakfasts delicious and exquisite bentos each morning. The beds comfortable. The Onsen (included with your stay) prepared by the staff each night after a long day walking was amazing. This was a once in a lifetime experience. We stayed 5 nights and the service was consistent. The staff was so gracious and helped with any need we had. Dinner reservations, questions about getting places and so much more. They were so kind. We felt like we were their most important guests.

Modern vibe with terrific staff from housekeeping, FO, F&B very helpful and welcoming. Our room with the wooden tub and unique design features was a great experience and the breakfast and sitting lounge very well thought out.

We had a wonderful experience at the Yuzuya Ryokan. The establishment has an authentic charm that takes us on a journey into Japanese culture. Everything is luxury, calm and voluptuousness. The Japanese-style rooms are pleasant and comfortable with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. Common places are attractive and aesthetic, particularly the bath which allows you to try Japanese culture in yuzu-flavored water. Regarding gastronomy, we had a Japanese dinner and breakfast, we were not disappointed. The dishes are delicate, refined and elegantly presented. Despite our different culinary habits (notably savory breakfast is not in our culture), we were pleasantly surprised by this meal and it was an authentic experience. The staff is very helpful, smiling, attentive to our expectations to ensure that we have a pleasant stay at the yuzuya ryokan. I will definitely stay there again during a new trip to Kyoto.

The hotel is located in an awesome location. I was very stunned by the comfort of this hotel . The was very spacious, the beds very cozy . The best Roykan and was worth the money . The staff took very good care and was helpful. The bathroom was the highlight of this hotel with a bathtub in onsen style . I would definitely stay here again if visiting Kyoto . The hotel also offers free wine tasting occasionally . The welcome drink , green tea and pastries was very delicious. The room also had very good amenities .
