We stayed here on the last night of our trip and it couldn't have been a better way to end the holiday. The hotel was absolutely gorgeous, the food was delicious (beautifully runny poached eggs at breakfast) and the service was fantastic. Wish we'd had more than one night!

Amazing rooms, we booked this hotel for just one night, after a long trip and it was the best idea. Very clean and the beds are very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with a lot of options (Indian, Sri Lankan, Western).

The GFH lives up to its reputation. The location is unbeatable, probably the best-located hotel in Colombo, situated right on the oceanfront. One can never get tired of the view of waves crashing against the rocks, whether sitting at the FireBeach or at the King of the Mambo. The rooms are spacious, and although they have a distinct colonial charm, they are equipped with all modern amenities. The beds are large and comfortable. Then comes the food. The hotel has several restaurants, and we tried all the buffets. They were extensive and absolutely delicious. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience.
