Room was big and very clean. Beautifully decorated. We stayed on Christmas Eve and felt at home. Restaurant is available for lunch and dinner also at a reduced price. Food very good and tasty. Excellent service.

The Grand Hotel is situated on Nuwara Eliya Hill, adjacent to the Nuwara Eliya Golf Course.

Dec 2023 What an amazing experience. This hotel is a feast for all the senses. I especially have to mention Jayanthi who did our tea tasting and mini tea factory tour. She was such a wealth of information. Shamnu the chef was amazing. He arranged a veritable feast of vegan food for us, including vegan desserts, and vegan masala tea. Kesawan, our server was also extremely attentive and helpful. Definitely worth a visit. This is such a well-maintained and special hotel.

The hotel is situated on a hill overlooking 24 hectares of tea plantation, surrounded by luscious mountains. It is the perfect combination of peace and isolation amidst a breathtaking scenery. The hotel staff are very attentive to guests’ needs - be it booking car transfers or showing the best hike routes in the area. This place is a gem and we look forward to coming back.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were so attentive and helpful. We were arriving in later than expected and they had food prepared for us. The breakfast was delicious. The location was perfect as well very close to everything. Couldn’t recommend the accommodation enough - really happy with the accommodation and again the staff were just so great.
