The hotel is amazing. It has 3 amazing pools with a great view on the lake. It is surrounded by nature (and wild monkeys!!). The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Also the breakfast buffet is incredible. Finally, the staff is incredibly kind and professional. A special mention must go to Dulsha working in the Cafe Kachchan who made our stay all the more unique.

Great and very friendly staff in all departments of the hotel. The hotel’s very own naturalists are brilliant and are assisting with everything you need for a successful trip or excursion - water, juices, soft drinks and cool refreshing towels are always part of the service. We enjoyed the big pool for all hotel guests as well as our private pool next to the room which helped us to feel really relaxed. The hotel is a true sanctuary and we enjoyed the nature and natural sounds every second of our stay. A minimum 3 nights stay is highly recommended to have enough time to discover the historic places and the nature in this part of Sri Lanka as well as to relax on property (we stayed 4 nights).

This is an amazingly beautiful resort covered in nature. My stay at Ayugiri will remain in my heart & soul for many years to come. Staff were truly amazing, so friendly and always with big smiles all around. Ayurveda treatments were really good. My therapist Mangala is a true gem. I feel reborn & rejuvenated. Meals were exceptionally tasty & served only healthy cuisine. I am sad My stay at this little heaven was too short. I am already looking forward to my next visit to this paradise.

Beautiful place. Isolated from the town but the location is beautiful. You can ride bike around the rice field and lake. If you’re lucky see an elephant. The woman at the elephant centre was very nice and we learnt a lot! I am glad we stop for a chat. The diner experience was amazing! We booked the traditional diner with 27 dishes cooked traditionally in clay pot and open fire. I recommend this hotel!

Fantastic stay, we decided to add an additional night we enjoyed ourselves so much. The hotel manager/owner? Nimal was superb, he made us feel welcome and was available 24/7. We had some issues with a scooter we rented and he came with his team to where we were stranded to resolve. The whole team went above and beyond for us. Out of all rge locations we stayed in Sri Lanka, the food here topped the list. Absolutely delicious and fresh from their garden, be sure to ask for a tour! A great place to end the trip

I loved every single aspect of this resort. Amazing grounds, the friendliest staff you can imagine, large rooms!

The property is very close to Dambulla, but still in a very quiet place surrounded by the nature. The room was big, comfortable and well designed and furnished. The food was excellent too and the people working there has been lovely! A shame we only spent one night there.
