This boutique residence features traditional Argentinean country interiors built around a cobblestone courtyard. We enjoyed everything about our stay at Villa Vicuña Wine & Boutique Hotel. Our only regret, truly, is that we were only guests of Villa Vicuña for only a single night. Though it is unlikely we will return to Cafayate, there is no doubt that if circumstances do delivery us back into its embrace that we will look no further than Villa Vicuña for accommodation.

Offering a seasonal outdoor pool and views of the mountains, Posada de los Poetas Hotel Boutique is set in San Lorenzo in the Salta Province Region, 10 km from Salta. The staff were so warm and welcoming after our long drive from Cafayate. They have excellent bottled wine at reception and also delicious empanadas. The large room has every convenience and comfortable bed. Also, a private terrace with table & chairs. The breakfast is extensive and delicious including the coffee! We liked the hotel so much that we returned early from Humahuaca to spend an extra night. I highly recommend this hotel in quiet San Lorenzo rather than Salta for anyone traveling up to see the Humahuaca sites.

Centrally located in Salta, Hotel Boutique Balcón de la Plaza offers accommodation with free WiFi access. Breakfast is included. Beautiful historical place. We had two different rooms for the 4 of us and one was super tight and the other was very comfortable. A bit pricier than other hotels in the area but nice colonial building if you want historical. Would recommend.

Set in a charming early 20th Century adobe and stone house, Sala de Payogasta offers Breakfast and there is restaurant. The town hall is 1 km away. Staying at this real functioning estancia was one of the highlights of our trip through South America. Alejandro and Elvira were amazing hosts, who made us feel extremely welcome and treated us like family. The property is amazing, and the views from the dining room are incredible. Comfortable beds, a great shower, and a delicious breakfast in the morning!

Set in a refurbished colonial house just in front of El Molino de Pueblo Church, Hacienda de Molinos Hotel boasts an outdoor swimming pool overlooking Nevado de Cachi Mountain. There is a restaurant. the property is a delight, on arrival and from the outside it does not look impressive, but as soon as you step into the enclosure, it is an oasis of peace and comfort in a quaint way.

The restaurant food it's out of this world. I would go again..
