Offering a seasonal outdoor pool and views of the mountains, Posada de los Poetas Hotel Boutique is set in San Lorenzo in the Salta Province Region, 10 km from Salta. The staff were so warm and welcoming after our long drive from Cafayate. They have excellent bottled wine at reception and also delicious empanadas. The large room has every convenience and comfortable bed. Also, a private terrace with table & chairs. The breakfast is extensive and delicious including the coffee! We liked the hotel so much that we returned early from Humahuaca to spend an extra night. I highly recommend this hotel in quiet San Lorenzo rather than Salta for anyone traveling up to see the Humahuaca sites.

It’s a tastefully renovated old historic building right next to the beautiful central Plaza. All the restaurants, caffès, crafts shops, etc are with a minute walk, literally. We had an excellent first floor room, Jasmine, opening into a charming inner courtyard, which we had totally to our own at the time of our stay. In spite of a central location it is exceptionally quiet and peaceful. The staff was a true pleasure to deal with. Couldn’t be any better, highly recommended

Located 100 metres from the Calchaqui and Cachi rivers and 200 metres from 9 de Julio main square, Hosteria Villa Cardon offers free Wi-Fi, a large terrace and a private garden in Cachí. Excellent from start to finish. 200 yrs + Old building , breakfast with fantastic bread and candlelight dinner. The real candlelight as in ancient times. Congratulations to all the staff.

Set in a charming early 20th Century adobe and stone house, Sala de Payogasta offers Breakfast and there is restaurant. The town hall is 1 km away. It’s beautiful, quite, comfortable bed, the room was so cute with original features, the staff were amazingly helpful . The restaurant across the way had lovely food. Are best stay in Argentina.

There is a restaurant. the property is a delight, on arrival and from the outside it does not look impressive, but as soon as you step into the enclosure, it is an oasis of peace and comfort in a quaint way.

This is the best hotel we have been to in Argentina, the place is just wonderful and the employees are very nice! The location is beautiful, surrounded by vineyards, the hotel's architecture is stunning (it looks like a Spanish "masia" or a countryside house in Italy's Tuscany). When we arrived they gave us a room in the first floor and asked for a room in the floor above to have better views, they did all they could to change our room free of charge. They also offered a free wine-tasting, so we had the chance to try all of their wines with some cheese platters (white, red, rose, from the cheaper end to the very expensive end) with a professional sommelier. The hotel offers some activities (we did a horseback-riding excursion). In the evening the garden and the terrace are full of people enjoying some nice wine, the atmosphere is really magical. A lot of people ignore the area of Cafayate (and head to Mendoza instead), that is a big mistake, not only do I think that Cafayate wine is nicer but the area is beautiful. I strongly recommend staying here!
