The room was very comfortable with stunning mountain view. The cleanliness was spot on. The breakfast was quite good and it was arranged in the living room, from where one can see the Hallstatt lake and surrounding mountains. Coffee, tea, hot water, some drinks were always available in living room. The bedroom and the living room were very nicely decorated and give you the warmth of home. Mark and Jane both are really exceptional hosts and they can suggest you a lot of things. We arrived quite late to Obertraun and had some food (already cold). Mark took the initiative to warm that in his personal kitchen. Also, on the very last day, we left our luggage for a few hours before coming back to pick them. I would love to come back again to this place.

All rooms offer lake or mountain views. The town is small and the hotel is located a 30 seconds walking to the Main Platz. Very beautiful and comfortable.

Heritage Hotel is located in the car-free historic centre of the UNESCO World Heritage town of Hallstatt in Upper Austria's Salzkammergut region. It offers free wired internet access in the rooms and free WiFi in all areas. The breakfast and the service were very good. I like the view and the city. When we arrived in the place, there was a concert right next to the hotel and the hotel offered us to have dinner as well as entrance to the concert.

Renovated in 2015, this hotel in Obertraun on Lake Hallstatt in the Salzkammergut region offers panoramic views of the scenic lake and the Dachstein Massif. It features a garden with a pool and offers free WiFi access. Such a wonderful hotel, I feel lucky to have managed to get a room. The location is stunning, next to the lake and surrounded by beautiful mountains. Swimming and sunbathing by the swimming pool in the early evening sunshine was such a relaxing experience. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were super friendly and efficient. Although they say the rooms are basic I found my room to be very good for the price. It was comfortable and cosy with a useful terrace. It was clean and had a lovely smell of pine. The lack of air conditioning was not a problem even with the temperature outside being over 30 degrees when I stayed. The location is in a village so it is quiet, but there is a restaurant and shop, and it is easy to access more facilities in Hallstatt by boat. Good location for hiking and cycling, and walking distance to the cable car. I am definitely planning to return for a longer stay!
