Family-run for 150 years and renovated in 2014, Seewirt Zauner is situated right on the historic market square in Hallstatt’s car-free centre and 150 metres from the waterfront at Lake Hallstatt. We had a great stay and found the Seewirt Zauner to be great value for money. The staff was very friendly and helpful and overall the experience was that of home comforts rather than a commercial hotel. The location is also second to none.

We liked absolutely everything! The location is perfect, the staff is very friendly, the room itself was excellent. There’s no air conditioning but a fan was available. They provided extra amenities every day during our stay. Breakfast was very good. Overall beyond expectations!

Thank you for making me feel like at home. I will definitely return to this place.
