Despite its size, it gives you an exclusive feeling: well-designed rooms, great restaurant, small yet new and beautiful wellness and fitness area, children game room. Staff is very friendly and helpful and the kitchen staff produces magic (kudos to Sofia). Easy access by bus to the Old Town, you can also get Salzburg card at the hotel. Parking is ample, easy and convenient, which is a great thing when visiting cities like Salzburg.

I just loved everything in that place! I stayed there for 4 nights and wouldn't have wanted to leave. I slept very well here and it was such a relaxing hotel. The owner family and their staff were marvellous! The breakfast was excellent with a lot of local or home made food. The wellness area was lovely: it was only for adults and very peaceful. The pools were allowed for all ages. There is free tea, bubble water and small snacks. I didn't have a car, but I rented an e-bike for 15 euros and explored Salzburg and Bad Reichenhall with it. There is also a local taxi, who will drive you anywhere you want in Wals' area for 1 euro.

Located in Salzburg, 2.6 km from Festival Hall Salzburg, Pension Ballwein features free WiFi access and free private parking. All rooms have a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. We had lovely view from our balcony.From left hand side we could see the castle from right hand side the mountains.In the room we had free botle of water, mini bar, hot water machine for tea and coffe.The owners are really nice.We had high quality and wide choice of breakfast.There is a bus stop in front of the pension which take you to the center.I would tell this place rather a 4* stars hotel than a pension. If we come to Salzburg again we would definetly stay in this place again!
