Built in 1574 as a shipmaster’s house, Renaissancehotel Raffelsberger Hof B&B is a protected building in the historic village centre of Weißenkirchen in the Wachau. So much to love about this property! It’s beautiful, historic with many original features, wonderful staff - we booked 5 minutes prior to arriving and they couldn’t do more to make us feel comfortable, beautifully run, amazingly comfortable beds (cycled from passau to Vienna averaging 70km per day and this was my best nights sleep by far!), wonderful breakfast. I really hope we are lucky enough to stay here again one day and have recommended it to family and friends already despite only having stayed there last night. Even the village and neighbouring villages are stunning and rich with history and wine

The hospitality was the best part of our stay and we could not ask for anything better. The property is kept in the best condition possible, especially the gardens and pool area.

It has its own charm with the decoration and paintings, we absolutely loved it! The breakfast is freshly made by the owner, Heidi. It was nicely served and the portion is more than enough 😁 We really enjoyed staying there, and definitely would go back again! ☺️

Located in the pedestrian zone in the Old Town of Melk,at the foot of Melk Abbey, the historic Rathauskeller features a restaurant serving traditional Austrian cuisine. The room was large, clean, and so comfortable. The area is quiet and relaxing. Every staff member was so helpful and assisted me with questions and getting fantastic meals at the restaurant. I highly recommend a stay here.

Located 600 metres below Melk Abbey, which belongs to the UNESCO World Heritage, Hotel Stadt Melk offers free WiFi and parking, and newspapers. The Hotel is perfectly placed in the middle of old town. Restaurants galore around. Upon arrival we had a very courteous owner of the establishment taking care of us. Very nice size room.

The room was comfortable and quiet; the breakfast buffet and coffee and cooked-to-order eggs were all perfect. The location was a convenient 5 min walk from the Steiner Tor.

I was pleasantly surprised at how big the hotel and restaurant was .. the website doesn’t do it justice. The rooms are modern, comfortable and well maintained with friendly attentive staff throughout.

A traditional Viennese-style café in a 16th-century building in the pedestrian zone in the centre of Melk, Madar Café Restaurant zum Fürsten is only 500 metres from Melk Abbey. Perfect location in the middle of town right on the main square, easy walk from the train station, even with luggage, and a short walk to the abbey. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Highly recommend if you are in Melk.
