Experience the epitome of convenience at Mary MacKillop Place. Ideally situated in the heart of North Sydney, a short train journey from Sydney’s city centre. The location was perfect for those that need to go to the US consulate. The receptionists were very nice.

This English-style inn is nestled in the countryside at the bottom of the stunning Razorback Mountains, directly overlooking breathtaking views of the Camden Valley. After 30 hours of airports and airplanes from the American south to the Australian coast, we felt welcomed. A friendly Chantelle greeted us, after numerous responsive emails, and helped us get settled. The view was restful full of singing and talking birds, distant cattle in the field, and even a few kangaroos hopping about, with a friendly staff, and even a wedding in the field. Good food, good service, good three nights. Who could ask for anything more.

Located directly opposite Horseshoe Bay, The Heritage Guesthouse offers non-smoking rooms with air conditioning and a TV. Free Wi-Fi and light breakfast provisions are included. My family met there for a reunion and booked six rooms. Heritage Guesthouse is well over 100 years old, centrally located and has been fully renovated. All rooms were generously sized and well appointed. There was ample food for continental breakfast. Many cafes and restaurants within walking distances. We had a great time.

Overlooking Sydney Harbour, Four Seasons Hotel Sydney offers complimentary Premium WiFi, a bar, restaurant, fitness centre and swimming pool. Location and view from our window fabulous. Rooms are not big but very luxurious. We didn’t do the hotel breakfast.

Nestled alongside the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Pier One Sydney Harbour is built on the water with its own private pontoon and panoramic Sydney Harbour views. We loved our room. It was comfortable and quite. The breakfast was exceptional. A perfect start for exploring the city. Also the bar was very good and we wish the restaurant would have been open on more days, we could enjoy it only on one evening. But no prob: There are many restaurants nearby.
