The 4-star By The Sea Resort is located in the centre of Port Douglas, next to Four Mile Beach and just a 2-minute walk from the restaurants along Macrossan Street. All apartments come with full kitchen facilities and many also have sea views. We loved everything about our stay! We were blown away by the supply of items for guests to use during their stay. From board games/dvds, to beach gear, bicycles, bbqs, coolers etc. we had a fantastic time with more than we could ever need. We could walk to 4 mile beach in less than 1 minute, and we were surrounded by countless restaurants/cafes/shops on the other side.

These boutique timber bungalows offer ocean, mountain or forest views. Guests can relax on their private balcony and enjoy the native birds and wildlife. All rooms are air-conditioned and offer a bathtub, a refrigerator, and a minibar. Wow! I read some negative views and shortened my stay based upon they. I regret that. This was such a beautiful place. Waking up in the morning to the sounds of tropical birds was so relaxing. The staff were over the top with their hospitality. I cannot recommend this place more. Do not read the negative reviews. They are simply inaccurate. One was about walking around at night which we enjoyed as it is so beautiful however the staff is always circling in a cart to drive guests around if they do not want to walk.

Surrounded by lush tropical gardens, the complex boasts a saltwater swimming pool and BBQ facilities. Free WiFi and free covered parking are available. This was the perfect llocation for bars and restaurants and right beside 4 mile beach. Ken on reception was so friendly and helpful with maps and suggestions for our day trips. Lots of little extras like filtered water, ice, books, bar b q and even umbrellas for guests use. A really enjoyable stay.

Great place - location was great and staff super welcoming.

Our property features shared female and male dorms with private bathrooms and private rooms with ensuite bathrooms and an outdoor patio. Host was super kind and available, had a blast there! Pools are brilliant!

All air-conditioned rooms have a flat-screen TV, a DVD player and free movie channels. Each room has a refrigerator and tea and coffee making facilities. Most also have lovely mountain, pool or garden views. Great location and fantastic, well equipped apartment.

All studios offer free high speed WiFi and guests can enjoy free undercover parking. The heated swimming pool is definitely a highlight of this place. It was clean and had the perfect temperature to relax and enjoy being in the water. The Suite was very clean, the bed very confortable and cozy. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. I recommend!
