Set 800 metres from St Bavo's Cathedral, Hotel The Boatel is located in Ghent. Free WiFi access is available in this boat. Bed was super comfy. Sven was a great host and guide to Ghent. Breakfast was superb with lovely breads. We will return to Ghent and stay in boatel again!

Cleythil is located outside Maldegem, a 20-minute drive from historic Bruges and 30 minutes' drive from Ghent and the North Sea beach. The garden offers views of the Drongengoed forests and fields. I have stayed at this hotel several times and have always been satisfied. The hotel is in a very convenient location, it is cozy and clean, the staff are helpful and friendly, there is ample parking at the hotel, and the breakfast is delicious. I would definitely stay here again.

Located on a quiet street in the heart of Ghent, Ganda Rooms & Suites is housed in a 18th century style townhouse with a patio and terraces. Free WiFi access is available. Friendly host, cosy salon full of interesting books, great location close (but not too close) to the busy downtown of Ghent. very interesting old building that nevertheless felt comfortable and modernised.

Set in a townhouse in the heart of historical Ghent, a 5-minute walk from St Nicholas’ Church, the Belfry and Gravensteen’s castle, you can find Schopenhauer. We loved the location, the house style, the bathtub, the host. We enjoyed everything!

Offering a terrace and views of the garden, B&B Villa Emma is situated in Ghent, 3.2 km from Ghent Christmas Market. The house is a fabulous late Victorian era (in the UK it would be, I don't know what era that is in Belgium!?!) villa set in beautiful grounds. We had the Acacia room, it was lovely and clean and nicely decorated, with a sitting area with a couple of armchairs and a separate bedroom off this with a spiral staircase up to the ensuite. The double bed was big, (super kingsize I think), and there was a single bed on a mezzanine in the turret above the sitting area which is fun, but a little precarious to climb up, so not suitable for very young kids or elderly people. Georges and Hilda are lovely hosts and the breakfasts were fantastic, homemade bread, apple pie, yoghurt, pastries, cheese, charcuterie, eggs, bacon - we didn't need lunch. Hilda explained the buses, and it was easy to get in to the center of Ghent and back, on the no.10 bus from a nearby bus stop. It was a lovely peaceful location and the garden was beautiful with plenty of wildlife to watch - brown squirrels, ducks and birds.
