Located in the centre of Veliko Tarnovo, behind the Theatre, family-run Priyateli Guest House offers a spacious garden, where breakfast is served every morning. Staff were exceptionally helpful. They let us check our luggage when we arrived early, and provided good directions for us to start investigating the town. They helped call cabs when we needed them (e.g., to get to Arbanassi).. Breakfast was plentiful. The owner even packed some breakfast snacks for us to take with us. The location is near the Mother of Bulgaria statue in Veliko Tarnovo, so attractions in the old town are within walking distance (craft street, fortress, museums).

Located on the Ivan Asen I square at Veliko Turnovo’s historical centre, Hotel Studio offers views of Tsarevets Fortress and the Trapezitsa Hill. The property looked exactly like the pictures. The bed was large and comfortable, which was perfect as our two-year-old child slept with us. The staff was friendly, and the breakfast was amazing. We will definitely be returning to this hotel.

The property was one of the best that we have ever stayed during our road trip. The owner was very helpful very friendly. Everything was outstanding.

Boasting a terrace, Family Hotel Silvestar is situated in Veliko Tŭrnovo in the Veliko Tarnovo Province region, 200 metres from Archaeological Museum Veliko Turnovo and 600 metres from Asen Dynasty... The hotel was super clean and in a great central location. It was perfect for one night, although I definitely would have stayed longer if I could!
