Set in a restored jailhouse, this Ottawa hostel is adjacent to the Ottawa Convention Centre and Rideau Centre Mall. It features rooms with free Wi-Fi and serves a daily continental breakfast. Very good for price. Extremely hard working syaff, always on top of things and cleanliness. The breakfast was superb and you pretty much can not find better accommodation anywhere else for this price.

This 4-star hotel is located in downtown Ottawa and features a state-of-the-art gym. The hotel is 15 minutes' walk from Parliament Hill. The staff were very friendly. The location was great and the room was spacious. The on site restaurant provided a good breakfast and a reasonable price.

The staff was always accommodating. E.g., When checking in, I asked if I could change my assigned room to one on a higher floor: done! For meals, I sat at the bar as I was travelling by myself. All the servers were very friendly and attentive. I was there on Remembrance weekend, and as the Lord Elgin is very close to Parliament Hill and the Cenotaph, I met patriotic people from all over Canada, including members of our armed services.
