Newly built in 2014, The Passage in Basel is a centrally located design hotel featuring a sauna, a fitness centre, free WiFi access and air-conditioned rooms. I loved the room- it was exceptionally cozy, impeccably clean, and pleasantly warm. The breakfast was excellent, and the central location was ideal.

The Hotel Alexander is located right at the Messe Basel fairgrounds and the Congress Centre, a 7-minute ride from the centre of Basel. The tram stop is right outside. Free Wi-Fi is available. Staff was friendly, room was clean, breakfast was fine :)

The Wettstein hotel is located in a central residential quarter of Basel, 200 metres from the Rhine river, and offers you garage parking, free Wi-Fi and a free internet station. The property is very clean and in a convenient location next to the tram station. We haven’t used public transport as we walked to the city centre. Friendly staff and lots of amenities. Great value for money.

Situated in a historic building in central Basel, Euler Hotel is opposite the SBB Train Station. Guests receive a Mobility Ticket, granting free access to all means of public transport. Great experience. Far better than we had in Mulhouse on our stop to Colmar. Basel and this hotel in contrast were wonderfully organized and welcoming. Only problem that i had was the noise of the trams right under our window but not enough to hinder our sleep after a tiring day of exploring the city.
