Piccolo Hotel enjoys a quiet location, an 8-minute walk from the Locarno Train Station and the centre of the city. This boutique hotel is ideally located in a quiet area of Locarno. The breakfast buffet has an excellent variety of regional meats, eggs, fruits, and breads. It’s only a short walk to the train station. They also offered the Ticino Card, which made access to public transportation easy! The hotel is family run. Nikoli was very helpful with information about the area. Would definitely stay here again!

The Hotel&Hostel Montarina occupies a historic Villa built around 1860, only 200 metres from the Lugano train station. The room location and facilities were exceptional. I have to add that I booked a single room and therefore was moved to the neighboring Continental Park Hotel. So just something to take into account.

The family-run Continental Parkhotel is located 200 metres south of the main railway station of Lugano, where the funicular leaves regularly for the city centre. Situated on the lake promenade near the traffic-free centre of Lugano, Hotel Walter Au Lac offers you rooms with superb lake views. WiFi is free of charge. All air-conditioned rooms are renovated. The hotel location is wonderful we had a room with balcony the view was fantastic! Very clean room, bathroom needs a little updating, the breakfast was ok. Coffee available at reception was good!
