Hotel y Cabañas Campanario is located in front of the beach, on Avenida del Mar, right in the limit of Coquimbo and La Serena. Great location right across the beach. We stayed in a room that faces the beach. The room was small, but the beds were comfortable, two double queens, worked out well. The bathroom was really small, but we managed. The breakfast was amazing! lots of food options and staff very friendly. The restaurant in the hotel had very few menu items, and mostly things premade that they simply warm up. We ended up eating every night at Huentelauquen restaurant/bar right across the street. Their food was just amazing! the pizzas right out of the oven right there and then, vast menu of drinks, playground inside the restaurant for the kids, live entertainment and a convenient ATM machine. Even though it was right across the street from the hotel, it was not noisy at all, which was my main concern when booking this hotel. My kids slept well so did my husband and I. At around 6pm or so, Avenida del mar gets full of life, with businesses opening to the people that walk by, music on, food and live entertainment. By 10 to 11. everything closed and you could hear just the beach. We traveled in November, but locals say during the summer months it gets busier in that area. Overall, was a great stay!
