Featuring free WiFi access and a complimentary breakfast, Solar de los Madariaga offers accommodations in a fully-refurbished 140-year-old manor house in Vicuña. very friendly reception by the owner who told us a lot about the history of the building. the hotel is very stylish and tastefully furnished, with spacious public spaces. room amenities were excellent, beds and bathroom very comfortable. breakfast was freshly prepared to order (included). we also used the restaurant for dinner, quality was excellent. together with enough places in the shade and a nice swimming pool and garden a high quality "resort" like experience in the middle of vicuna. the owner also organised a last-minute astronomical tour for us. very much recommended.

Featuring an outdoor pool and a garden, Apart Hotel y Cabañas Vegasur offers accommodation in La Serena. The city centre and main square are a 15-minute drive. A quiet oasis in the middle of a crowded beach town. Good breakfast. Nice pool.

Hostal Terra Diaguita, located just 100 meters from the main square of La Serena, has two sectors located on the same street, offers rooms with free Wi-Fi and cable TV in a charming colonial house. A very spacious and well decorated room and a beautiful property overall. Super warm beds with electric heated underblankets and very warm blankets are super appreciated when the nights in La Serena get cold. The hotel has its spa: ask for Alejandro, their wonderful massage therapist. We loved our stay!

Hotel y Cabañas Campanario is located in front of the beach, on Avenida del Mar, right in the limit of Coquimbo and La Serena. Great location right across the beach. We stayed in a room that faces the beach. The room was small, but the beds were comfortable, two double queens, worked out well. The bathroom was really small, but we managed. The breakfast was amazing! lots of food options and staff very friendly. The restaurant in the hotel had very few menu items, and mostly things premade that they simply warm up. We ended up eating every night at Huentelauquen restaurant/bar right across the street. Their food was just amazing! the pizzas right out of the oven right there and then, vast menu of drinks, playground inside the restaurant for the kids, live entertainment and a convenient ATM machine. Even though it was right across the street from the hotel, it was not noisy at all, which was my main concern when booking this hotel. My kids slept well so did my husband and I. At around 6pm or so, Avenida del mar gets full of life, with businesses opening to the people that walk by, music on, food and live entertainment. By 10 to 11. everything closed and you could hear just the beach. We traveled in November, but locals say during the summer months it gets busier in that area. Overall, was a great stay!

The Hotel de la Bahía is located in the city of Coquimbo, in front of the ocean offering views and access to the beach. With a sea view, it offers comfort and high-level services. Breakfast was very simple but with a lot of chances to have, althought the plate was very small and i think they have to improve in future.
