The hotel is simply amazing!!!Excellent location, very close to all the sights and the main pedestrian street. There is a metro station right across the street. Rich breakfast for all tastes. Comfortable clean room with view and wonderful amenities. The lobby smells fantastic and a robot is constantly cleaning. Find the concierge Willi, always a smile, very kind, particularly eager and helpful, he saved us with the VPN that he installed on our mobiles.

The hotel was renovated and upgraded from Beijing's traditional Zhengsi Siheyuan and has rich cultural heritage. The design style is to retain the traditional red and green elements of the courtyard house outdoors and to combine the modern Zen-like tranquility indoors. Free WIFI is provided. We loved everything. All the staff was amazing, always very nice and trying to do everything to make our stay very pleasant. We loved the welcome tea and breakfast was very good. The room was quiet and the bed comfortable. I wish we could have stayed longer! The gift when we checked-out was a lovely touch!

The hotel situated in classic Beijing Hutong, the directions to the hotel were shared with us in advance, so we could plan our trip accordingly. All staff speaks perfect English, and everyone was extremely helpful and welcoming. Especially Jerry at the reception was always there to help and arrange things if needed. He even organized an incredible shadow theatre experience for our son, although on that day there was no show on agenda. There is a possibility to keep luggage for a day which we used. Breakfast is not included by can be arranged if needed. We had Western breakfast which might be downside for someone, but for us it was even a plus, given that it was our last day in China and we were already a bit tired of a typical Chinese breakfast. In the room we had everything we needed, it has really great atmosphere, it's modern but with Chinese Hutong vibe.

House in a well-preserved old residence, The Orchid Hotel, Beijing is located in the historic Hutong area in the heart of Beijing, a 12-minute walk from Houhai Lake, a popular area filled with various bars and restaurants. It features free WiFi in all areas and free bicycles. Staying at the Orchid Hotel has been the highlight of my trip to Beijing. The hotel is neatly tucked away in a very quiet part of the Hutong not far from the historic Drum Tower (can be seen from the hotel’s rooftop). Many landmarks, restaurants, bars, and shops are conveniently located nearby and can be explored by foot — my preferred option. In terms of the space, the hotel’s interior has been carefully designed to preserve the characteristics of the very historic neighborhood while adding a bit of modern aesthetics. Finally, I very much enjoyed interacting with the staff, who were very friendly and eager to share the real Beijing experience with the guests.

Transformed from historical buildings, the property is a 5-minute drive from Mutianyu Great Wall. A free fitness centre and free Wi-Fi access are provided. We were so impressed by how gracious and helpful all the staff were. They treated us like family! We are American and speak very little Mandarin. But the staff responded immediately to messages in English, arranged a car from the train station, took us to and from the Great Wall, and even let us stay later in our room so we could freshen up before we left for Beijing. We will be back!

Like in China, not all of them speak english bit they have the translation machine at hand and all so smooth. 5 Computers to browse in the lobby (very convenient as you cant always connect to your own browsers) and complimentary coffee/tea. Nice athmo. Good space in rooms.
