Located in a former school building, the family-run Hotel Volkschule offers comfortable rooms in central Hamburg. Free WiFi internet access is available throughout the hotel. I liked everything. A school from the 19th century converted into a hotel. The location is good, in a quiet area and well connected to the city center. Excellent breakfast with a variety of options and good coffee. But what I liked the most were the little details and the overall esthetics of the place. I definitely recommend it and will book the hotel if I am ever back in Hamburg.

The communication with the hosts prior to arrival was excellent - they provided detailed instructions and even waited for my mother to arrive shortly after working hours in order the check her in, which was a very kind gesture.
