The classical-style rooms of the Hotel Am Jägertor feature fine materials, air conditioning, and modern bathrooms. Some rooms have a balcony. The location is fantastic, just a short walk from the gorgeous Sanssouci Park. The room was air conditioned, elegant, impeccably clean, and well-appointed, with a well-stocked mini-fridge. The breakfast buffet was vast and even included lovely jams made in-house. There's a cozy lounge area for a nightcap. At night, it's enough off the beaten track that the room is quiet. The staff are courteous and helpful. I would definitely stay here again. It's not cheap, but I learned from a colleague who stayed in a cheaper place, you get what you pay for.

This 4-star hotel is a traditional 19th-century tower villa, a 3-minute walk from Potsdam's Sanssouci Palace. It boasts an idyllic hilltop location, wonderful views, on-site parking and a charging station for electric cars. Lovely, clean, and friendly boutique hotel. Easily parked outside on the street though a space was available. The buffet breakfast was hands down the most amazing spread I have seen in any hotel ever — lots of homemade breads, cheeses, meats, spreads, eggs, cake, fruit, vegetables, cereals, espresso, juices, etc…and very gourmet and beautifully laid out.
