Located in Cangas del Narcea in Asturias, Parador de Corias is set in an 11th century monastery. It offers an exhibition area including archaeological remains from the original structure. The parador was tastefully decorated with many special touches. We enjoyed walking around the property and exploring the history of the place. The food served in the bar exceeded our expectations. Very helpful staff.

Situated right in the heart of Avilés' old town, Hotel Palacio de Aviles Affiliated by Melia is a tastefully converted, 17th-century palace. Featuring free Wi-Fi, it is located in Plaza de España. This property is stunning; a museum itself. The breakfast was a 10+!

This design hotel enjoys a fantastic setting overlooking the beach and sea in the charming, peaceful resort of Ribadesella, on the beautiful north coast. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout. Superb beachside location, very easy to find. On street parking can be a problem during busy times, so I recommend booking a space in their excellent on site underground carpark. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the rooms exceptionally clean and spacious. The beds were super comfy with plenty of pillows. The restaurant was excellent value serving high quality Asturian dishes, with a good selection of wines to suit most tastes and pockets. Breakfast was a buffet self service, but with a good selection of cold meats, cheeses, pastries etc. If I had only one small criticism it would be that no hot option was available, even poached or fried eggs would have been welcome.

This beautiful hotel is set in a restored convent dating from the 17th century, just off Sablón beach in the pretty village of Llanes. Everything… the architecture (a convent), the location( old town and beach), the staff(friendly and attentive), the food (try the authentic fabadas) they also went above and beyond to make a vegetarian version. Just everything is awesome and Llanes is a a great place to explore Asturias. The beds are very comfortable.

This hotel was a very positive surprise. Do not let the slightly shaky neighbourhood mislead you. The rooms had been renovated recently with good taste and materials. There is also a fridge and microwave. I can only recommend this excellent value for money.

Hotel Rural Playa de Aguilar is located in Muros de Nalón, 1 km from Playa de Aguilar Beach. This charming hotel is set in a colonial house surrounded by gardens. The owner was incredibly kind and knowledgeable about the area. Our room was big and tidy with two showers and lots of storage. The food was really fantastic though - we even had a off-menu request that the chef made that was GREAT. Still dreaming about the apple tarte!
