Recently restored boutique hotel from 1929, located on the beachfront in Bakio. Exquisite architecture with attention to detail and welcoming atmosphere. Set on the Bay of Biscay and surrounded by mountains, the Higueralde guest house is located 15-minutes’ walk from the beach. It offers rooms with central heating and free Wi-Fi. Casa Rural Higeralde was fantastic. We have been traveling for six weeks and this was one of the best places in which we have stayed. We enjoyed the view, the countryside and best of all the breakfast. The property had an apple orchard from which they made their own cider. We even enjoyed the steep walk up and down the hill to the town centre. The room was big with a delightful balcony. Secure parking for our bicycles.

Comfortable room with good bed, airconditioning, nice bathroom and a terras with a great view. Also very special is the view inside the wine cellar from the hallway. There was a special romantic dinner that night, obviously with great wines, but also good food and music.
