The property is located in the main wing of a restored monastery that is still active. Location is beautiful and quiet. Staff are very friendly and helpful. View from the rooms onto the square below is very nice. The rooms are clean, spacious and feel modern. I’ve heard the restaurant for the hotel is good but I didn’t dine there. I did have the continental breakfast which was good.

Rooms at Parador León are located in the original building. Restoration was very well done, everything looks new and refreshed. Superior room is huge and spotless. Dinner ate their restaurant was really great. Definitely a step up from other Paradores in Spain.

Breakfast is an abundance of fruit, croissants, chorizo, fresh orange juice and coffee. Highly recommend this property. One point to note - is be careful if you park in the open air car park over the weekend. There is a market on Saturday and the police will tow your car away.

The village is really nice, the place is cozy, clean and breakfast was good.

This charming mansion dates from the 18th century and is located in the medieval town of Villafranca del Bierzo, on the Camino de Santiago. The rooms have free Wi-Fi, minibar, plasma TV and hydromassage shower column. A beautiful old building, room & bathroom very pleasant. Staff were great. On the Camino and literally only a short 2 min walk to the main square.
