It was a welcome respite after the strenuous hill climb from St. Jean to the summit, and the descent to Roncesvalles. Gracefully appointed and well designed. The dining room and menu choices provided superb examples of Navarrese cuisine.

A tiny serpentine road winds into the mountains, passing through a beautiful forest straight out of a fairytale. The views were breathtaking, the rooms spacious, the food excellent, and the atmosphere incredibly romantic—calm and quiet. I slept like a baby. I absolutely loved that breakfast was served in the room—no need to rush in the morning. Just wake up and enjoy the moment with your partner. We stayed for two nights but wished we had booked a bit longer. The staff went above and beyond to take care of all our needs, even after we checked out. They managed to secure a reservation for us at a three-star Michelin restaurant—something we thought was impossible!
