France Hotel exceeded all expectations from the start with the warm & friendly greeting on arrival and the help with additional local information on florists (thank you Delphine). The room was light, spacious, clean and quiet with a view over the calming inner courtyard. The breakfast was delicious & plentiful, enjoyed in the light filled breakfast room. The hosts were attentive, friendly and extremely helpful without being intrusive. We parked in the nearby underground car park (10 euros for 24 hours) and this was only a short walk to the hotel. In the opposite direction a short walk into the very centre of Niort and Les Halles and local restaurants.

Lynda and Walter were the most amazing hosts and made us feel so welcome and couldn’t do enough for us during our weeks stay. The property is beautiful and spotlessly clean. Breakfast each morning was lovely with a great variety offered , which we had on the terrace outside on a couple of occasions as the weather was good. Walter is an amazing chef and I would highly recommend booking at least one evening meal during your stay. There is a lovely pool in the grounds which you can use during your stay too. Each of the 4 bedrooms are individually decorated and are very comfortable. I can’t recommend this property enough - if you are in the area stay here!!!
