Located in the centre of Besançon, Hôtel de Paris offers contemporary décor, a 24-hour reception and terrace. The Besançon Citadelle is just a 15-minute walk away. Vesoul is 48 km from the property. Place was perfect for our stay in Besancon. The receptionist offered great help in finding a place to eat and overal the hotel was a pleasant place to stay.

Hôtel Restaurant Spa Le Sauvage, formerly the Clarisses Monestary, is located in the historic district of Besançon, 500 metres from the citadel's ancient walls. Extremely friendly staff. Excellent restaurant. I could have my business meeting in a quiet corner of the restaurant.

Les Capucins is centrally located in a former brewery, just 500 metres from the Belfort Train Station. The hotel had a great staff that helped us store our bikes in a garage (we were bikepacking). The rooms were comfy, clean, and quiet and had AC, but were minimally equipped (no water boiler or coffee). The restaurant was amazing, and the breakfast and dinner options were superb. They offer a discounted meal for guests which was pre-fixed and absolutely worth it.

The Best Western Citadelle is located in the historic city center of Besançon, a 5-minute walk from the Doubs River and the Citadelle. Free Wi-Fi is available in the rooms. The air conditioning was excellent and much needed during the heat wave

Set in the heart of the Jura vineyards, Hôtel Auberge de Chavannes is located in Chavanne and provides soundproofed accommodations. You can relax on the furnished terrace, by the garden. Really welcoming and lovely stay. We were very late due to massive delays to our eurotunnel crossing and the hotel were brilliant. Shame we missed out on dinner. The menu looks amazing.

La Chaumiere is located in Dole, between Dijon and Besançon in eastern France. It offers en suite accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool and a Michelin-starred restaurant. Excellent diner&wines. Hotel not so excellent as the restaurant.
