Hotel de France is housed in a former coaching inn and is located on the edge of Mende’s town centre. The hotel is a 2 minute walk from Mende Cathedral.

Each room is equipped with air conditioning, a private bathroom and TV. The Comfort Room in the separate Villa des Jardins was beautifully appointed with a large comfortable bed, quality linen and comfortable chairs. Quiet and very clean. Easy distance from train station and centre. Very helpful manager and staff. Excellent service and food in the restaurant for dinner.

The rooms are beautifully designed, well maintained and homely - and stocked with thoughtful additions such as local wines. On arrival we were given a map showing our location and ten restaurant recommendations which made our overnight stay really easy. You can leave your car securely parked in the grounds and walk up into the walled town in just a few minutes. We didn’t get chance to use the pool but it looked great.

The atrium is full of plants, trees, and unique pieces of art. Cozy seating areas surround the pool. Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The staff, Elodie and the receptionist, are outstanding: helpful, friendly and fun. Breakfast, offering many choices, was delicious. Excellent location - easy walk into the heart of old Narbonne. Our experience was so wonderful we didn’t want to leave this lovely oasis.

Featuring a seasonal outdoor pool, La Gourgasse Vieille is located on spacious private grounds by the Canal du Midi, Europe’s oldest canal and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The property is 5 km from the Béziers city centre and 2 km from the large theatre/concert venue Zinga Zanga. We loved our stay! The Cottage was very nice and nicely decorated, the pool and garden so quiet and relaxing, in the middle of a beautiful landscape of vineyards and the river. I wish we could've stayed more than one night! I would love to come back.
